Michael Patti — Founder & Co-owner
We started Island Bath Studio because we were tired of watching bathroom remodels fail — leaky showers eighteen months out, tile coming up at the edges, grout lines that no amount of cleaning could fix. The reason was almost always the same: shortcut waterproofing, rotating subs, and contractors who didn't understand that a bathroom is a long-term water event the tile just has to survive.
Every Island Bath bathroom is built the slow, correct way: Schluter waterproofing, one dedicated crew per project, design, and a firm quote so no homeowner eats a surprise change order.

2007
Founded
The team leaves a Nassau County general contractor to focus exclusively on bathrooms. Two installers, a van, and a promise: Schluter on every shower.
2015
Schluter installer
The team earns Schluter-Systems Certified Installer credential. Still the only Long Island bathroom crew with one on staff on every job.
2017
Certified Bath Designer
The team earns National Kitchen & Bath Association CBD designation. Design becomes a built-in part of every remodel.

EPA Lead-Safe certification
Older Long Island homes often have lead paint — we train and certify every installer for safe demo work on pre-1978 builds.
